The BRLO microbrewery brews its own beer in shipping containers in the Urbane Mitte.

Things have been happening on the site of the Urbane Mitte since summer 2016. Even before the start of construction work, the spirit of the new urban quarter is manifesting itself in interesting temporary usage concepts and events.

A pioneer from day one is the BRLO brewery, which has established an entire gastronomy concept in 38 shipping containers stacked on top of one another. Right by the entrance to the Urbane Mitte – where park and city meet – the striking architecture of the internationally renowned offices of GRAFT showcases the innovative strength of the quarter for miles around.

Within the space of a year, BRLO BRWHOUSE has developed into a hotspot by the Park am Gleisdreieck, which is already renowned throughout Berlin and beyond. Outside there is a beer garden with access to the park; inside there are culinary delights in the restaurant, whose ‘interpretation of brewhouse cuisine’ was even praised by Berlin’s master chefs when they named it ‘Berlin Scene Restaurant 2017’.

Besides brewing its own beers such as ‘Helles’, ‘Pale Ale’, ‘German IPA’, ‘Porter’ and ‘Berliner Weiße’ in its in-house brewery, other beers are also brewed in cooperation with other breweries.
